NYSLTA 2019 Annual Meeting & Convention

The NYSLTA Convention and Annual Meeting

Sunday, September 15 - Wednesday, September 18 at

Gurney's Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa.

All title insurance professionals are welcome.

Gurney's Resort in Montauk, New York has proven to be one of the most popular venues in recent years.

New York's Title Industry returns in September to gather in numbers and to assess our prospects for the future.  Our industry has been roiled (and rolled) by challenges in recent years. Do we steel ourselves for continued struggle or will we stream around the obstacles and ride the currents?

Our annual meeting commences with nominations, elections, governance amendments and crucial discussions and decisions for each section.

The convention keynote event is a panel of senior underwriter executives, who will discuss their corporate "go-forward" strategies for the New York real estate market.

Lunch on Monday is a recognition event for the presentation of the Sharon Sabol Award of Lifetime Honorary Membership.

Day 2 will feature a professional education session so you can start the new biennial licensing period with CE/CLE credit. We will also meet ALTA President Cynthia Blair for a national perspective on the trends that are shaping our industry.

Social activities and networking opportunities will fill your afternoons and evenings.

It starts with Sunday’s Welcome Reception, where you will enjoy cocktails and a buffet dinner as you welcome old friends and colleagues.  The attire is casual so feel free to come in your traveling clothes.

On Monday night we have the Officers’ Dinner Dance, a dress-up affair a with formal dinner, a live band and dancing. Our newly elected Officers will take the Oath of Office and commence the year of service to the title industry.

The convention caps off Tuesday night with the enormously popular charity auction.

With the exception of the Officers’ Dinner Dance, attire is business casual with allowances for the fact we are meeting on the shore of the Atlantic Ocean.

Attendees will be asked to wear their badges to all daytime events.

On-site registration will not be available. People who arrive without having pre-registered will not be admitted.

We regret the necessity of restricting admission. We are troubled by the possibility of turning away a member or guest but the circumstance will not permit any exceptions.
